Current situation

The Fairtrade shop at Darlington Street Methodist Church is now permanently closed.

We are currently trading in the Mander Centre, within the ‘Shop in the Square’, where we have an ever-changing wide range of groceries (including chocolate) and an attractive range of craft goods, including ceramics, textiles, children’s toys and decorative items. Our collection of socks, gloves, scarves and bags is partricularly worth browsing.

We have goods from a wide range of fair trade suppliers; some of these you may recognise from Traidcraft days, alongside many new products.

Shop in the Square

The Shop in the Square sells craft goods made by locally based artisan designers. We now complement this by using a third of the space to sell our extensive range of fairly traded goods from producers in the developing economies.

The shop is in Victoria Arcade on the lower floor of the Mander Centre , opposite Superbowl.

The shop is open
Monday to Saturday 10am – 5pm
Sunday 11am – 3pm

Our Distribution Hub

We have a range of stock available for browsing or for pre-ordering and click-and-collect at our temporary distribution hub at Beckminster Methodist Church in Birches Barn Road. This is available by appointment only, in order to maintain social distancing.
Usual hours are Wednesdays 10.00 am – 12 noon, but other times may be possible by arrangment.
